About Yankee and the Belle Foods

Hey, everybody! This is Brian Giles, the Yankee, and Sarah Giles, the Belle. We started Yankee and the Belle Foods in 2019 as a way to share our love of cooking and good food with others.

As the name implies, this is a collaboration between a Northerner and Southerner husband and wife team. I’m originally from New York and since moving to South Carolina, I’ve had my mind opened up to great Southern foods such as grits and biscuits. These are foods I didn’t have growing up – mostly because back then, nobody made them worth eating! Sarah was born and raised in South Carolina and has been cooking and making great food her whole life.

To get the ball rolling, we decided to start out by making and selling hand-made biscuits. There were several reasons for this. First, we love a good biscuit – who doesn’t?! Second, biscuits can be a challenge to make and most people don’t bother. Third, we couldn’t find a bake-at-home biscuit we liked in any store. Our recipes were developed for biscuits that you bake from frozen in your oven, just like you made them yourself. The biscuits come out light, flaky and full of flavor. We use only the best ingredients with no preservatives and always will. That’s our promise to you. Give our biscuits a try, we know you’ll love them!
